The American South West

In October of 2012 my wife and I took a road trip around National Parks in south western USA. Back home in England you often hear about the larger scale of things across the pond, but nothing really prepares you for the reality. Vast expanses of open land rolled by as we drove the hours down, one breathtaking sight following another. It's not difficult to see why the land itself holds so much power in American culture and mythology.
